Absolute Radio logoAbsolute Radio is supporting Shelter for Christmas 2011, with the launch of a festive song by musician and comedy star Matt Berry.

‘A Christmas Song’ by Matt Berry and Everybody is the world’s first crowd-sourced Christmas song, and includes contributions from the general public, who were invited to play, sing or dance along to the track. All proceeds from sales of the single will go to Shelter.

Matt Berry said, “Christmas is about being inclusive, sharing and selfless, much like this song. My aim is to release a Christmas single that a whole bunch of people, young and old, can say they were a part of.”

Absolute Radio is a radio station committed to real music, comedy and football, with DJs including Christian O’Connell, Geoff Lloyd, Frank Skinner, Dave Gorman and Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood. They run a network of brands, including digital stations, with new services due to launch this year.

‘A Christmas Song’ is also being supported by EMI, You Tube, Ignition Creative and Abbey Road Studios.
