TV channel Home and Shelter are working in partnership to raise funds for people in housing need.
In 2011 Home is supporting Architect in the House, the fundraising initiative run by Shelter and the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) which sees homeowners sign up for a design consultation for their home and get advice from a local, RIBA chartered architect.
The UK’s first dedicated homes channel is packed with inspirational home and gardens programming; from home grown commissions including ‘Nick Knowles’ Original Features’, ‘My Flat-Pack Home’, ‘Celebrity DIY with Craig Phillips’, and ‘If It’s Broke, Fix It’, to the phenomenally successful ‘Extreme Makeover: Home Edition’, and favourites ‘DIY SOS’, ‘Escape to the Country’ and ‘Ground Force’.
Denise Wallin, Marketing Manager at Home, says:
‘Sponsoring Architect in the House is a perfect fit for Home as we are all about people being inspired and encouraged to make changes in their own home, big or small. The scheme offers practical advice as to how to achieve this for a great cause.’
Architect in the House offers homeowners the chance to get professional, expert advice to realise their home improvement dreams. As Title Sponsor, Home is helping Shelter maximise the reach of Architect in the House and generate vital funds towards our work.
