Ian WilliamsIan Williams and Shelter have worked in partnership since 2006, raising much-needed income for Shelter services through donations amounting to over £35,000.

Ian Williams has also supported Shelter’s clients by introducing DIY Skills courses in Birmingham and Cardiff. This hugely important programme has meant over 30 families have been trained in DIY Skills and given tools for their homes.

Hannah Friend, manager of Shelter Birmingham Homeless to Home said: 'We have been working closely with the local community to empower Service Users to rebuild their lives following a period of homelessness and we are delighted that B&Q and Ian Williams are investing in helping those in need of support. These courses are incredibly important and change peoples lives'.

In May 2009 twelve staff from Ian Williams donned their walking boots to tackle the UK’s highest mountains - namely Ben Nevis (4,408 feet), Scafell Pike (3,205 feet) and Snowdon, (3,560 feet).Their efforts saw them raise more than £5,000 for Shelter.
