Intercounty local estate agents started a new partnership with Shelter in May 2011, pledging to raise £20,000 through various fundraising initiatives.
The organisation, which is marking its 20th year in business, started its fundraising successfully with the Rough Sleepers event, which raised nearly £4,000 for Shelter.
As part of this initiative the Intercounty team, including Managing Director Greg Young, spent 24 hours on the streets outside their offices in the Bishop Stortford area, to experience sleeping rough on the streets first hand.
Intercounty is now asking its customers to make a donation of £20 when signing an estate agency agreement, which they will match with the same amount.
