Our helpline supporters

Thanks to the ongoing support of our funders, Shelter is able to provide a free, national telephone advice line. The helpline is staffed by trained housing advisers, and provides help and support to thousands of people each year on a range of housing issues.

The helpline is supported by:

Marks and Spencer

Shelter has worked in partnership with M&S since 2005, with all the money raised going towards the housing advice helpline. To date, the partnership has raised more than £3.8 million.

Standard Life

Standard Life Charitable Trust has provided funding for three, full-time telephone advisers at the helplines in England and Scotland until May 2012. Their support will help over 7,300 people in need of housing advice.

The Berkeley Foundation

The Berkeley Group is supporting the helpline with a donation of £15,000, which will help over 1,300 people in need of housing advice. This is one part of a three year partnership, focused on helping young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Legal and general XperienceLegal and general

Legal & General Network, Xperience and the Estate Agency Foundation are supporting Shelter in 2011-12 by donating £20,000 towards the housing advice helpline.
