BT

Shelter and BT worked together at Christmas
in 2006 to raise more than £100,000 for vital services for Shelter.
Over the Christmas period, 2p from every text message sent to or from a BT landline went directly towards supporting projects run by Shelter and Focus Ireland. Texts sent to UK landlines were delivered as spoken messages 'read' by Tom Baker, narrator of the hit comedy Little Britain.
BT also used the service to create a new virtual pop sensation featuring 'voice of text' Baker performing the rock classic 'You Really Got Me'. The Text Aid track was sold as a music download with all proceeds going direct to Shelter and Focus Ireland.
Shelter and BT first worked together a few years ago through the BT Swimathon, supporting the Helpline.
