In April 2009, Shelter formed a new charity partnership with NHBC, the leading new home warranty and insurance provider and standard setting body for new and newly-converted homes in the UK.
The aims and values of NHBC resonate strongly with Shelter, particularly in terms of increasing the volume and raising the standard of new homes.
NHBC's Chief Executive, Imtiaz Farookhi said: 'NHBC is committed to helping communities at national and international level and this year we are delighted to be partnering with Shelter.
'As well as becoming the lead sponsor of Shelter's Architect in The House initiative, we have pledged to raise £20,000 through staff led fundraising activities over the next 12 months. And with repossessions in the UK at an all time high we hope our support will benefit a range of people in housing difficulty.'
