Donate through your payroll

Payroll giving cogs

One good turn makes a big difference

Share

Payroll Giving allows anyone who pays UK income tax to donate to Shelter tax free. Payroll Giving donations are easy to set up and flexible, so you or your employees can stop donations at any time.

How does it work?

Set up a Payroll Giving donation, and the amount you pledge is taken from your wages before tax is deducted. So if you pledge £10, it will only cost you £8 (£6 if you pay higher-rate tax)

What your donation can do

Payroll Giving donations provide Shelter with regular income, which helps us plan our work in the long-term and deliver our core services consistently.

  • £10 could pay for a ten minute phone call giving advice through our helpline.
  • £45 could help train a Shelter adviser to deal with vulnerable adults, and protect children at risk.
  • £150 could help pay for up to seven hours of a Shelter adviser’s time, during which they could issue court proceedings to prevent a family being evicted.

Sign up to Payroll Giving with Shelter today and you can prevent homelessness for families in need – simply by doing your job.
