Payroll giving for individuals

Share

When you set up a payroll giving donation, the amount you pledge to give is taken from your wages before tax is deducted.

This means for every £1 you donate to Shelter through your salary, it will only cost you 80p (60p if you are a higher rate tax payer).

£5 a month £4 £3 £2

Many employers offer match-giving schemes which can double - sometimes triple - the amount you pledge.

'Payroll giving makes it easy to donate to good causes like Shelter. I just completed a form and the money is taken direct from my payslip. It’s also the most efficient way to give as my donation is processed before tax is deducted, so my gift ends up being worth more to Shelter. It just makes good sense to me!'.
