‘I was thrown out of my private rented flat with my young daughter by my landlord so he could sell it as a vacant property.
I approached the council for help with re-housing – all they could offer was a room in a homeless hostel. It was a frightening, unsafe place for a child, and being homeless made me feel vulnerable and cut off from society.
Now we’ve finally moved into a council property. My daughter is settled in nursery and our health is improving. I’m so relieved to have my life back on track.’
