Shelter advice centres
Shelter’s local advice centres can help with a range of issues. Many deal with debt, community care and benefit issues as well as housing. Find your nearest Shelter service using our advice services directory.
The Community Law Partnership
The Community Law partnership has set up a new national helpline to provide advice and assistance for Gypsies and Travellers in England and Wales on 0121 685 8677
Citizens Advice
There are Citizens Advice offices all over the UK - you can find your one in your local area by using our advice services directory. Advisers offer advice and information on a range of issues including benefits, eviction and harassment, money and debt and can also help you access legal advice.
Equality and Human Rights Commission
The Equality and Human Rights Commission works to protect and promote the rights of people who may be discriminated against. and can provide help and advice to people who have been discriminated against.
Friends, Families and Travellers
Friends, Families and Travellers works towards a more equitable society where everyone has the right to travel and to stop without fear of persecution because of their lifestyle. The organisation provides advice, information and other services to Gypsies and Travellers across the UK.
The Traveller Law Reform Project
The Traveller Law Reform Project aims to bring about positive changes in the law in relation to the rights and needs of all the Gypsy and Traveller communities, and monitors the implementation of current legislation.
