Eco-towns
Shelter has produced information examining the housing situation in and around eleven of the proposed eco-town sites.
Eco-towns update
In July 2009 four sites were selected to go through to the next planning phase, full public consultation and local planning approval.
These sites are:
- Whitehill-Bordon in Hampshire
- St Austell (China Clay) in Cornwall
- Rackheath in Norfolk
- North West Bicester in Oxfordshire
Two other sites, Rossington near Doncaster and North East Elsenham in Essex are still developing their proposals to be considered for the next planning phase.
