Update: Shelter statement on suspension of proposed January industrial action

Shelter have released a further statement on the suspension of proposed industrial action in January over the introduction of new pay scales for staff.
Campbell Robb, Shelter's chief executive, said: 'We are very pleased to hear that union members have responded positively to the new offer on the table and that the efforts made on all sides have proved successful in avoiding strike action.
'As the number of people facing homelessness and bad housing continues to grow, we can start the New Year ensuring the full force of our efforts is focused on making sure families across the country are getting the help they need.'
