Set up a Will for free

02 May 2008

Elderly couple

Aged over 55 and living in London? You can take advantage of a scheme called Free Wills Fortnight, which allows you to have a Will written or updated by a local solicitor for free.

Running from 17 to 31 January 2008, Free Wills Fortnight is being sponsored by Shelter and nine other UK charities. Of course you're not obliged to leave a gift to Shelter, although we hope that you will consider doing so.

A gift in your Will, whatever the size, can help us build a future where everyone has a home. It will mean that our services and projects can continue to help people in desperate housing need.

To take up the offer of a free Will you need to contact a solicitor offering Free Wills Fortnight appointments between 17 and 31 January 2008.

A full list of participating solicitors will be displayed on the Free Wills Fortnight website and advertised in local papers from 17 January. You will find further information about the scheme at the website, and you can request a leaflet by emailing info@freewillsfortnight.org.uk
