Music icons Jarvis Cocker and Beth Ditto have released a single to help raise money for Shelter. The track is a cover of the dancefloor anthem 'Temptation' by Heaven 17 and is available to download exclusively from iTunes.
At 2007's NME Awards, Beth Ditto and Jarvis Cocker teamed up to perform a cover of Heaven 17's classic song 'Temptation' - their electrifying performance was an overnight sensation!
Due to overwhelming demand, Rough Trade, Columbia and NME have joined forces to make the track available to download, with all proceeds going to Shelter.
Jarvis Cocker, lead singer of Britpop band Pulp, said: "It has taken a full twelve months for the world to be ready for this track - I hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed performing it."
Shelter chief executive Adam Sampson said: "We are delighted that two of the hottest names in the music business are donating the profits from this single to us. By downloading 'Temptation' you'll not only get a great track, but you'll be raising money to help homeless and badly housed people across Britain."
Shelter is proud to have had the support of the NME for the last four years and is the NME's official charity partner in 2008.
