GMTV presenter Clare Nasir (pictured) has represented Shelter at global interdealer broker ICAP's 16th annual charity day. This year's event raised £11 million for various charities, with celebrities visiting the company's offices to speak up for their favourite charities and encourage the staff.

10 years of the helpline

Today is the 10th Anniversary of Shelter's free housing advice helpline. In a decade of service, the staff has solved hundreds of thousands of housing problems - from finding someone a place to sleep to helping a family handle their mortgage arrears.

Pass on cut, Shelter urges

Ending child poverty has been made a priority in the Queen's Speech. Shelter welcomed the announcement of the Child Poverty Bill, which will enshrine in law the Government's promise to eradicate child poverty by 2012.

RBS 'raises the bar'
