Red house tour kicks off in London

Shelter's Red House kicks off a nationwide tour in London this Wednesday 16 July, where you can sign up to our campaign for more affordable homes – and get a t-shirt to prove you've done your bit towards ending Britain's housing crisis.

The Red House (pictured) is touring the country as part of Shelter's new 'Now is the Time' campaign, to put pressure on the Government to deliver the affordable homes Britain so desperately needs.

When you sign up to the campaign, you get a t-shirt marking the time you did your bit plus the chance to have your picture taken and added to our Red House gallery.

Adam Sampson, Shelter's chief executive said: 'With repossessions soaring, private sector rents rising, thousands stuck on the council housing waiting list and hundreds of homeless households trapped in temporary accommodation, it seems everyone is feeling the effect of the current housing crisis.

'Shelter's Red House gives people the unique opportunity to make their voice heard about the future of housing in Britain. Make sure you find time to come down and do your bit to help right housing wrongs.'

The Red House opened its doors at Glastonbury music festival this year, where celebrities including Lily Allen, Will Young and the Ting Tings pledged their support for 'Now is the Time.'

Come and visit us!
