Trading up for Shelter

4 December 2007

What can you get if you swap a signed bottle of Simon Cowell's aftershave and a poncho signed by Kelly and Sharon Osbourne, Jermaine Jackson and Louis Walsh? Tune in to ITV1 this Christmas and find out.

In Star Traders: The Christmas Challenge, presenter Myleene Klass and rugby star Kyran Bracken face the task of trading up a series of donated items, each time for something more valuable. On Saturday 22 December, the final trade-up will be revealed in front of a live audience of celebrities, and host Phillip Schofield will then auction off the item to the highest bidder, with all the proceeds going to Shelter.

The challenge could take Myleene and Kyran all the over country, and they will need to rely on their charm, ingenuity, and of course, help from their celebrity friends, to persuade people to part with the really big-ticket items.

Layla Smith, ITV's controller of alternative programmes, said: 'We're so excited to be bringing this feelgood Christmas show to ITV1; it's going to be hugely entertaining for the viewers, with lots of surprises along the way.'
