Businesses get quizzical for Shelter!
18 November 2009

Businesses pitted their wits against one another in a grand general knowledge challenge for Shelter last week, with Shoosmiths' team 'Jill and a Bit' winning the coveted Let's Get Quizzical 2009 trophy.
'Let's Get Quizzical' events have been running up and down the country recently - and our corporate supporters couldn't resist the opportunity to get involved! Over 100 people from 18 different companies attended the quiz night at London's sleek German Gymnasium venue.
A raffle and auction were also held on the night, with prizes including a luxury weekend in Berkshire and a box for match day at Spurs. In total a profit of £3,000 was made for Shelter's work with people in housing need.
Sarah Playforth from law firm Kingsley Napley said;
'Team Kingsley Napley had a fantastic evening, despite being the only table not to win one of Shelter's fabulous raffle prizes. We also discovered that some of our colleagues had a scary level of knowledge about Britney Spears and musical theatre... we were delighted to be involved in such a well-organised evening for such an important cause. And we'll be back next year with a vengeance'.
Shelter would like to thank all the teams involved, and the following companies that supported the event:
- Sapphire Systems
- Mr & Mrs Smith
- Mya Lacarte
- Top Table
- Hibiscus restaurant
- The Cinnamon Club
- Virgin Books
- Wagamama
- The Bay Restaurant Group
- Argent Group PLC
- DTZ
