Shelter's Street Homeless Project can provide a consultancy service to statutory and voluntary agencies in England.
Examples of past work include:
- co-ordinating a one-stop drop-in pilot for Leeds Community Safety Partnership
- helping to establish and evaluate multi-agency assessment panels
- advising on street counts of rough sleepers
- running seminars about different aspects of street homelessness
- evaluating the effectiveness of mobile food-distribution services
- advising on different models for use in housing street homeless people
- assisting agencies to conduct needs assessments
- helping local agencies to find sources of funding
- advising on improving standards in hostel accommodation
- reviewing the effects of enforcement measures and ASBOs on street homeless people.
