What street homeless people think

To provide the right kind of solutions we need to know what street homeless people themselves think. Street homeless people can become alienated from services if they feel they are not there to help them.

We have supported the work of Street People's Action and Awareness Group (SPAAG), who seek to bridge the gap between street homeless people and official agencies.

In the summer of 2006 Barry Etheridge and James House from SPAAG walked from Inverness to Bournemouth, visiting projects like night shelters and day centres along the way and talking to street homeless people to see what they themselves perceive to be the solutions to their homelessness.

We have also provided financial support to the Pavement, a magazine for street homeless people in London.
