Summary
Bad housing robs us of security, health, and a fair chance in life. This factsheet focuses on what homelessness is, how it is defined by law, and how it impacts on people's lives, particularly in the areas of health and education. It also looks at what is being done to tackle the crisis, and how Shelter is working to prevent homelessness.
