Antisocial Behaviour and Harrassment
Course location:
This course explores antisocial behaviour in a housing context and provides delegates with an overview of legal and other remedies available to landlords and residents. Participants will look at good practice in managing cases effectively, and consider practical strategies that landlords can use to minimise antisocial behaviour and harassment.

- Preventing antisocial behaviour in social housing

- Relevant provisions of the Antisocial Behaviour Act 2003, Police and Justice Act 2006 and Housing and Regeneration Act 2008
- Mediation and Acceptable Behaviour Contracts

- Possession action where the issue is antisocial behaviour
- Antisocial Behaviour Orders (ASBOs)
- Injunctions
- The law on nuisance
- The 'Respect Agenda'
- Good practice in the gathering of evidence
