Learning outcomes
After this course, you will be able to:
- Recognise situations where tenants are missing out on housing benefit
- Estimate housing benefit
- Advise on the payments tenants should make in addition to a housing benefit award so as to avoid rent arrears
- Recognise when local authorities do not process housing benefit correctly and know what to do.
