An overview of the mental health system and an understanding of housing issues for users of mental health services. Participants will learn how service users can access housing and resolve the common housing difficulties they encounter.

After this course, you will be able to:
- Discover how to access community care and specialist mental health services
- Understand the court process can help to prevent homelessness
- Assess vulnerability and current case law
- Understand the implications of the changes introduced by the Mental Health Act 2007
- Identify the rights that flow from s.117 of the Mental Health Act 1983.
