Social landlords have been required to comply with a pre-action protocol in rent arrears possession cases since October 2006; the result has been a drop in the number of Court claims for possession issued. With effect from November 2008 a similar, ground-breaking protocol applies to mortgage arrears possession claims.
Seminar objectives
Delegates will become familiar with the contents of the pre-action protocol as well as other regulatory/good practice material issued by the Financial Services Authority and Council of Mortgage Lenders.
