This course aims to develop delegates' ability to keep themselves, colleagues and clients safe when working on their own, either in or away from the workplace.
Course contains
- Develop exit strategies for potentially dangerous situations
- Assess the risk factors and take appropriate action
- Use a range of techniques for defusing difficult situations
- Assess appropriate support
- Follow policy and guidelines for personal safety and emergency procedures.
Suitable for
This course has been designed for people with management responsibilities for lone workers, such as home visitors and outreach workers, and lone workers themselves . It is also of relevance to health and safety officers and HR personnel who work in organisations where lone working takes place.
