This course considers the difference between need, coping strategies and challenging behaviour, and provides an insight into current working practices.
Course contains
- Different disciplines within multiple needs
- The language and terminology associated with multiple needs
- The difference between actual need, coping strategies and challenging behaviour
- Assessment, prioritising and signposting skills
- Tools and current working practices which need to be in place for people with multiple needs, including implementing joint working, lead worker methods and case conferences.
Suitable for
Front-line staff working in advice agencies, hostels, day centres, supported housing, floating support, street services and other services working with homeless people.
