Support for councils

As part of our campaigning and advice provision, we work with councillors and local authorities, helping you to support your residents and address housing issues in your local area.

Our public affairs team provides councillors with briefings on legislative and policy issues, as well as access to a wide range of information that helps elected representatives deal with residents' queries

This work is increasingly important as local authorities take greater responsibility for housing.

Help for your residents

We provide help and advice directly to people with all kinds of housing problems, as well as debt and welfare issues. In addition to our free national housing helpline on 0808 800 4444 which constituents or caseworkers can use, we also have over 40 different advice centres and projects running across England.
