Time to change: short-sentence prisoners

Time to change: a good practice report on the housing needs of short sentence prisoners.

The housing needs of prisoners are currently receiving much more attention.

While meeting these needs raises a number of challenges, some of these are most acutely felt by short-sentenced prisoners who are not subject to statutory support and supervision.

This report examines these challenges, with practice examples from prisons, community-based agencies and strategic bodies to overcome them. A number of recommendations are included to expand and build on the current good practice.
