Off the streets

A review of homelessness among street-based sex workers by Shelter's Street Homeless Project.

Street-based sex workers are currently one of the most excluded and marginalised groups of homeless people, with service providers often failing to recognise and understand their needs.

This review highlights the need for a range of supported options for street-based sex workers and shows how partnerships between specialist agencies and mainstream service providers can meet the complex needs of this group.
