Difficulties in accessing housing advice for people from black and minority ethnic communities.
In 2006, Shelter commissioned an investigation into how BME communities access housing advice, and the barriers they face in doing so. The research focused on the advice needs of families with children and young people aged 16-25.
This report offers an invaluable insight into their experiences of seeking advice, barriers to advice and recommendations to improve service.
