We need more affordable homes
Over 100,000 children in England are forced to live in temporary accommodation. With average house prices now more than 10 times the average wage, and over half of private renters saying they struggle to pay their rent, a secure home is sliding further out of their reach.
The average house price in England is now more than 10 times the average wage. And over half of private renters say they struggled to pay their rent in the last year.
It’s clear we need more homes that are genuinely affordable to rent or buy.
The chancellor, Philip Hammond can make this happen. He can commit to building more homes we can all afford.
