Ways you could help

Raids

We all know that Raids are a fantastic way to raise money! We’ve secured the following street collection permits:

  • Sheffield       18th October 2008
  • Liverpool       15th November
  • Canterbury    22nd November
  • Southampton 29th November
  • Portsmouth    29th November
  • Bristol            6th December.

If you don’t see a date that fits with your plans please give us a call on 0844 515 2219 and we’ll try to arrange one for you. Please give us as much notice as possible, as dates get filled up very quickly.

Collections

Street collections are not the only options for raids. How about your local big supermarket, or shopping centre? Or a theatre, train station or on your university campus?

Choose Shelter as your nominated charity

It would be fantastic if you chose Shelter as your charity of the year or for Rag week. We would be able to support you with materials and information about our work. We might even be able to arrange for you to visit one of our services or projects.

Hold an event

We have lots of great ideas for events and we’re sure you do too. Get in touch and we can help you to organise an amazing event for Shelter. You can also download a copy of our Rag fundraising guide, which features everything you need to make your day a success.

Points to remember

There are laws that govern all charity fundraising activity. Find out which ones may be relevant to the activity you are organising here.

"Shelter is a great charity to collect for because its aim (ensuring everyone has a proper home) is something people can really identify with. The tiredness that you feel at the end of a day of collecting is a satisfying one. It’s good to know that you're really making a difference.’"
