The BUPA Great North Run is one of the biggest events in the sporting calendar - and the electric atmosphere makes it one of the best!
Shelter have guaranteed places in this great race, so why not join our team and tackle the famous route from Newcastle to South Shields.
How we will support you
As part of Shelter's 2008 BUPA Great North Run team you will be supported all the way to the finish line with:
- Training, health and nutritional tips plus a 16 week training programme developed by realbuzz.com
- Fundraising support, advice and tips to make meeting your target as easy as possible.
- A fantastic adidas/Shelter running vest to show your colours on the day.
- A free cheerer's T-shirt for each of your supporters.
- A post- race reception where your friends and family can relax and celebrate your achievement with refreshments.
Shelter has a limited number of guaranteed places available and all we ask in return for your entry is that you raise a minimum of £350 in sponsorship.
We also ask for a registration fee of £50 , which will count towards your sponsorship target.
If you have your own place
If you have applied through the official BUPA Great North Run ballot and are successful in obtaining your own place, or are a BUPA Great North Run Member and already have your own place, simply let us know and you will still benefit from the same excellent running package as our charity place runners.
You will have no minimum sponsorship requirement, although obviously we'd love you to raise as much as you can!
