The legendary London Marathon is the world's largest annual fundraising event. It has an atmosphere like no other, and it's as popular with amateur runners as it is with world class professionals.

How we will support you:

Run the Marathon for Shelter and we'll support you from start to finish. You'll get:

  • a training plan from a top running coach with personal email support
  • a running vest
  • free cheerers' t-shirts for all your supporters
  • fundraising advice and support to help you reach your sponsorship target
  • a chance to meet other Shelter runners at our Christmas party
  • a massive post-race reception where you can relax, refuel, refresh and rub down

How much do I need to raise?

We ask our Marathon runners to raise £1,800 which includes a non-refundable £100 registration fee. If you are offered a place, you must pay the £100 registration fee within a week, or you'll lose your place.

About the Marathon

The 26.2 mile route takes you through central London; from Greenwich all the way to The Mall, past the Tower of London, the Houses of Parliament and Buckingham Palace. It's lined with cheering supporters and entertainers to keep you going - and our Shelter cheering team will be out in force!
