SwimBritain makes a splash for Shelter

Rebecca Adlington

Shelter and British Gas have teamed up with some of our greatest Olympic medallists for the national swimming challenge SwimBritain this summer.

Olympic swimmers including Rebecca Adlington, Ellie Simmonds and Duncan Goodhew are just some of the stars who’ll be joining channel-swimmer celebrity David Walliams in the water to raise money for Shelter.

There are 11 SwimBritain events taking place all around the country in August and September. People can swim with friends in teams of four, or join in as a family with Little SwimBritain.

To get involved and pledge your support for Shelter, just register on the SwimBritain website, enter the code RaiseForShelter to swim for free, and then set up your sponsorship page.

Every £100 raised through SwimBritain could pay for a Shelter housing adviser to help four families find a home.

See what’s involved and where your nearest SwimBritain event is on the SwimBritain website.

About Shelter and British Gas

Shelter and British Gas are proud to be working together for better homes for Britain.

During our five-year partnership we want to put housing back on the national agenda, transform the standards of Britain’s homes - especially in the private rented sector - and help people struggling with bad housing or debt.
