Andy Ludlow Homelessness Awards

Do you work in an organisation in London that helps to improve the lives of homeless people? If so, you could be eligible for an Andy Ludlow Homelessness Award in 2009.

The awards are open to registered social landlords, housing and social service departments, NHS trusts, and voluntary organisations across the capital.

Run by London Councils and sponsored by Shelter, the country's leading homelessness awards recognise projects that improve services to homeless people, prevent homelessness, or tackle disadvantage caused by homelessness.

There’s a total prize fund of £43,000 available. This year the outright winner will receive £20,000 with £10,000 going to each of the runners-up and £1,000 going to other shortlisted projects.

How does it work?

The panel of judges will look for evidence of work that improves services to homeless people, prevents homelessness or tackles disadvantage caused by homelessness.

To find out more about the awards or to apply, visit the London Councils website. The closing date for entries is Wednesday, 20 May 2009.
