Shelter's marathon heroes

18 April 2011

Two Shelter marathon runners

Congratulations and a huge thank you to our 203 Shelter runners who took on the London Marathon this Sunday 17 April to raise money for people in desperate housing need.

They joined 36,500 other runners who came from all over the world to complete the 26.2 mile route from Greenwich to Buckingham Palace.

The weather stayed sunny and warm, and thousands of spectators lined the route to cheer runners on; Shelter staff, friends, family and supporters among them.

This year there were some record-breaking marathon runners, ranging from the fastest man juggling a football to the quickest marching band, and not forgetting the fastest superhero!
