Become a trainer

Shelter Training is recruiting freelance trainers to deliver our nationwide programme of courses.

We would like to hear from solicitors, barristers and experienced housing practitioners who can train advanced housing law and homelessness topics, including:

  • Housing Law / Homelessness Case Law Updates
  • Homelessness and Allocations law
  • Homes fit for Habitation
  • Gypsy and Traveller Law
  • Immigration Status and Eligibility for Housing / European Nationals
  • Care Act and Housing
  • Notices / Possession topics
  • Tenancy Status and Rights
  • Challenging Homelessness Decisions
  • Mental health and housing

In addition we require trainers who can deliver soft skills training to staff, in particular those who can deliver emotional resilience topics and/or safeguarding in the context of housing.

We are particularly keen to hear from experienced trainers based in the Midlands, East Anglia, the North West and North East. However, we are also interested in hearing from advanced trainers in London and the South, especially those with a willingness to travel.
