Rev Mike Long

Superintendent minister of the Notting Hill Methodist Circuit

Mike studied Physics and Astronomy at University College London, before spending several years working in the voluntary sector on substance abuse and homelessness. He then studied Theology & Politics at Bristol University, before training as a minister. He was ordained in 1992, and has spent almost 30 years working in London, Surrey, North Wales, and most recently in Notting Hill. 

Mike holds an MPhil in community engagement and poverty, and a PhD focusing on the church’s responses to international debt. He’s also a member of one of the national senior committees, the Faith and Order Commission, which advises the church on theological issues.
