Organise own event
From bake sales to breakdancing, there really is no end to the ways in which you can raise money for Shelter. So whether you're a baker or a shaker we want to help you help us to raise money for those fighting bad housing and homelessness.
Who to fundraise with
Many hands make light work, and they also make light fundraising. Whether it's your classmates at school, your colleagues at work or everyone in your university accommodation block, it always pays to do your fundraising event with (or for) a group of people. Community groups, faith groups, sports clubs; whomever you chose to fundraise with, we have event suggestions for you.
How to set up your fundraising event
No matter how big or small the fundraising event you're organising, there are always key things to bear in mind - like where it will take place, how to advertise it, what to do if it rains. This is where our experience helps. So your event runs as smoothly as possible, we've produced some top tips for setting up an event. Find them here.
Keeping your fundraising event legal
All fundraising activity is governed by charity laws, and some of them may be relevant to the event you're organising. To help you determine just exactly what you do and don't need to know we've written a handy blog post on keeping your event legal.
