Whatever your housing problem, Shelter's specialist advisers can help.
Shelter has more than 50 offices across Britain. Our services are professional, independent and free.
Our advisers will tell you your rights, explain your options and help you take action. They can also work with you to negotiate with your council, landlord or lender.
More than one problem to deal with? Don’t worry. We’ve got it covered. Shelter recognises how housing issues and homelessness can be connected to wider problems. Many of our local advice centres can also help with:
- disability and/or care needs
- debt problems
- welfare benefits.
You can contact your local Shelter advice centre by phone or letter. Some centres also have drop-in sessions. Many of our centres also have surgeries in areas away from their office.
Our Advice Services Directory lists details of advice services by region, including Citizens Advice, independent housing aid centres and council offices.
