Grand support for Shelter

18 December 2008

The Grand Designs Awards, which pay tribute to the UK's best house renovations, new build and eco projects as well as interior design, are supporting Shelter in 2009.

Grand Designs will make a donation to Shelter from each application to the awards and the sale of the official awards ceremony tickets.

Shelter will be playing a big part at the award ceremony, with chief executive Adam Sampson speaking on the stage alongside Grand Designs presenter Kevin McCloud (pictured). There will also be a raffle held in aid of Shelter on the night.

The awards are now in their fourth year. Over the next few months, Grand Designs will be searching for new houses, extensions and products that demonstrate design excellence and innovation.

If you've designed a fabulous new house, redesigned or converted a crumbling ruin, added a stunning extension or completed a groundbreaking development project, these awards are for you.
