Joint working conference

09 June 2010

Father and son

Do you work with children, families or young people? Then you can’t afford to miss this conference, which brings together experts in the field of housing and children’s services.

Taking place in Manchester on Tuesday 27 July 2010, the conference aims to outline good practice in effective service provision for homeless children and young people by demonstrating the work of Shelter’s Children’s Service and other innovative practice pilots.

It features keynote speakers from Barnados, CLG and Shelter, and a choice of eight workshops.

A key element of the day will be the examination of joint working between housing and children’s services. There will also be a focus on current topical issues surrounding child and youth homelessness, including recent case law on youth homelessness and the growing issue of overcrowding.
