Advice for flood-hit Morpeth
17 September 2008

Shelter is providing free, independent housing advice to flood-hit households in Morpeth on Thursday 18 September in the local Citizen’s Advice Bureau offices.
A Shelter caseworker will be available for face-to-face appointments from 10am until 1pm in the Castle Morpeth Citizens Advice Bureau office. No appointments are necessary.
Shelter’s caseworker can provide specialist housing advice and support to any low-income households who have been affected by the flooding.
This includes help with finding accommodation for families unable to live in their homes, how to deal with disrepair, and how to deal with problem landlords.
Shelter is working in partnership with Castle Morpeth Citizen’s Advice Bureau, which is providing free office space for our advice worker.
Any residents who can’t make the session on Thursday can call Shelter’s North East Advice Centre on 0844 515 1601, or find advice here.
Alternatively, text 80010 with the word ‘Shelter’, followed by your name and the town you live in.
