Stand up for Shelter

05 September 2008

Reginald Hunter

Reginald D Hunter leads a stellar cast at a special benefit night of comedy for Shelter. Now running for the second year, the event takes place on Monday 15 September at 8pm at the world-famous Comedy Store in London.

Straight-talking multiple Perrier Award nominee Hunter went down a storm at the last Stand Up for Shelter with a warm but controversial set.

Also present will be comedian/poet/savant Tim Key, gently reading some poems and suggestions from his notebooks. Tim was recently Bafta nominated for his short film 'The One and Only Herb McGwyer Plays Wallis Island', and is currently on Radio 4’s ‘Mark Watson Makes The World Substantially Better’.

Also on the bill is Jo Jo Smith, an ex-punk journalist and former PA to Dexy’s Midnight Runners, as well as circuit regular Rob Deering and versatile comedy veteran Robin Ince.

Tickets are available through the Comedy Store website.

Beat the Autumn blues and come out for a cause - all proceeds go to Shelter.
