About the race

Vertical Rush is part of the international Vertical World Circuit, a network of nine tower-running events across the globe.

Runners set off in waves and run up 42 floors to reach Vertigo 42, a champagne bar with magnificent views of the City. Times are recorded, and we invite runners to a thank-you reception, including a celebratory drink and refreshments, to find out the all-important results.

Current best times:

  • Fastest male: Matthias Jahn - 4m 22s (2009)
  • Fastest female: Anna Frost - 5m 30s (2010)
  • Fastest team: DJ Hotsteppers - average time of 6m 33s (2010)
