Georgia contacted the council but their decision was devastating. She was found to be 'intentionally homeless' and told she wouldn't be helped to secure suitable accommodation.

Georgia reached out to Shelter. With the support of Dave, a legal adviser, they built a strong case and successfully challenged the decision.

After months of uncertainty, Georgia and Thomas finally got the keys to their social home where they could rebuild their lives.

But thousands of families like Georgia's are still living in uncertainty. England has a severe shortage of social housing, leading to over 175,000 children living in temporary accommodation.
