This online training includes:

  • who counts as an agricultural occupier

  • the rights of agricultural occupiers protected by the Housing Act 1988 or the Rent (Agriculture) Act 1976 including succession and rent control

  • the limited rights of agricultural occupiers not protected by the Housing Act 1988 or the Rent (Agriculture) Act 1976

  • rights to remain following loss of employment

At the end of this training, you'll be able to:

  • advise agricultural occupiers on their housing rights and security of tenure, particularly following the loss of their employment or following retirement

  • assist in defending possession action and preventing homelessness in some cases
